is no doubt in my mind God is calling us to be world changers! We
cannot become what God wants us to become without first becoming
fully devoted followers of Christ in our personal and corporate
lives.
For
this reason, Come As You Are Community Church has strategically
developed ministries which integrate spiritual maturity, community
and personal participation.
Our
ministries are designed to Equip,
Enfold, Edify and Evangelize, thereby adhering to
the Word of God.
The
goal of this team is to build people up to God and the Word and
out into the ministry.
Christian
Education Department
I Timothy 2:15, Matthew 28:20
Teaching arm of the church to set forth structure and materials
for teaching/training to children, youth, and adults. Facilitates
growth of the church spiritually with new and innovative methods
and materials for instruction.
Mission Statement: Equipping the body of Christ for righteousness
through sound biblical teaching, rebuking, correcting and training.

Joshua 1:14, Titus 2:2
Building vital relationships with God and one another. Diverse
in age, racial, financial, and spiritual status. Includes monthly
meeting for Bible Study as well as various seasonal activities.
Mission Statement: To foster accountability to the true and living
God, to leave a positive impression on our families, make a lasting
impact in our church, and leave a legacy in our community for
the cause of Jesus the Christ.
Youth
Ministry I
Timothy 4:12
To lead youth into a knowledgeable, spirit filled relationship
with Christ, the church and the community. Meetings are held every
1st and 3rd Saturday for ages 3 and up from 3:00pm to 6:00pm.
There are adult mentors and young adult assistants. Bible Study,
Round Table Talk Sessions, Snacks, Games and other activities
are in the usual Saturday meetings.
Field trips have included Gospel Concerts, Bowling, Amusement
Parks, Lock-ins, Skating Parties,
Mission Statement: Teaching young saved souls to become fully
devoted followers of Christ; to reach young lost souls thereby
being ambassadors of Christ.

Marriage

Hebrews 13:4
Mission Statement: To bring married couples closer together and
closer to God. Meets every Sunday morning during our Sunday School
hour. The topics we will discuss over the next 6 months include:
The Covenant Marriage, The Passionate Marriage, The Fighting Marriage,
The Model Marriage, The Surprising Marriage, and The Giving Marriage.
Information
Team
Provides information and helpful service to those who attend worship
or other services. Maintains accurate records and information
on current church ministries. The Information Team has new leaders
for 2006: Melonee Guy and Debbie Nunn Pursley.
Mission Statement: To equip, inform and inspire.
Mother’s
Board
Titus 2:3
A group of women viewed as Elders because of their wisdom derived
from years of living a Christian life. They are dedicated to maintaining
the sanctity of the preparation of the Holy Communion and instructing
young girls in the virtues of Christian Women.
The
goal of this team is to enfold new believers, new attendees and
others into the fellowship of our church family.
Hospitality
Ministry
Hebrews 13:2
Planning, preparing, serving food for special occasions and annual
church events. Plans food service for special events such as Church
Picnic, Holiday Potlucks, Monthly New Member Orientation Meals.
Mission Statement: Committed to the service of God first, then
to be of service to others.
Ushers
and Greeters

Ensure a pleasant encounter with God’s people in His presence.
Promote order in the service.
Mission Statement: Serve with the humility and love of Jesus Christ…to
all who cross our paths.
This group which includes young and old meets the 1st and 3rd
Saturdays.
Beacon
of Light Nursery Ministry
Matthew 19:14
Serves to assist visitors and members with infants and pre-school
age children during worship services and other services/functions
as needed. Activities include videos, games, toys, snacks and
naps. Adult supervision with youth/young adult assistants.
The
goal of this team is to maintain the ministry’s properties
in such a manner as to best accomplish the goals of the other teams.
Transportation
Ministry
Mission Statement: To provide safe and reliable transportation
to all who desire to hear God’s word, spread God’s
word, and fellowship in God’s name.
Must phone Brother Tony Austin by noon on the Saturday of the
week you need transportation. He can be reached at 260-456-3963.
Technical
Support
Serves to oversee and execute needs that involve audio, video,
lighting, graphics or any other technical support.
Mission Statement: Actively support the church’s needs when
it involves audio, video, lighting, graphics, etc., so that the
end result will be a person’s better viewing or understanding
of God’s message.
The
goal of this team is to lead the congregation into the vital and
wonderful celebration of our faith.
Music
Ministry
Psalm 33:3 and Psalm 40:3
Renders
music at worship services and other services/functions as
needed. Includes Praise Team, Adult and Youth Choir
and Band. Formatting songs to be taught and learned. Assisting
young musicians to enhance their skill level/talents. Open
to any Christian. Praise Team Rehearsals
are: Fridays 6-8 p.m. and Saturdays 9-11 a.m.
Mission Statement: To minister in song to all so that Jesus
Christ will be highly exalted and the Kingdom of God will
be glorified.
Prayer Ministry
James
5:13-16
Mission Statement: Seeking to give God all of the glory,
honor and praise. Spearheads the Corporate prayer time each
Thursday at 6 p.m. in our sanctuary. Committed to build
and come together praying continuously on behalf of God’s
people everywhere.

Organizes, informs and assists those who are needing to be
baptized.

Mission: To build a community of women in Christ. To empower,
equip and edify.
The
goal of this team is to bring as many people as possible into a
vital relationship with Jesus Christ – in our Jerusalem, Judea,
Samaria and World.

Overseeing disbursement of funds to designated home and foreign
mission needs, overseeing home and foreign mission trips by youth
and adults.

Sharing the love of Jesus through witnessing, serving, training,

Mission Statement: To give light to those in darkness. To win
souls for the Kingdom of God. Provides individual time to share
